Description
The Cobra Fortis 25B is a petrol cylinder mower, and cylinder mowers exist for one reason: the finish. Its six-bladed cutting cylinder shears the grass cleanly against a bottom blade rather than tearing it with a rotating blade, and the steel front roller and rubber-coated split rear roller lay down the stripes that define a traditional British lawn. The split rear roller is what lets it turn at the end of a pass without scuffing the turf. Power comes from a Briggs & Stratton XR750 engine driving a 63cm / 25 inch cutting width - wide enough to cover a substantial formal lawn in reasonable time. Cutting height ranges from a genuinely low 6mm up to 30mm, adjusted by a single screw. The interchangeable cassette system means the cylinder can be swapped for scarifying and other attachments, so the machine handles lawn care beyond mowing. The 90 litre grass box means noticeably fewer emptying stops. Two-year domestic warranty.
