Description
The Dolphin Proteus DX5i is a Wi-Fi connected robotic cleaner for in-ground pools up to 50 feet, and its defining strength is waterline work. Most cleaners handle the floor competently and treat the waterline as an afterthought, which is exactly where the greasy scum band forms. The DX5i grips the wall continuously as it climbs, holding the brush against the tile long enough to actually shift that band. An active scrubbing brush does the same job on the floor and walls, lifting dirt rather than pushing it around. It runs independently of the pool's filtration system, so there is nothing to plumb in and no booster pump to install or maintain. Cycles can be scheduled or started from anywhere through always-connected Wi-Fi. The top-load filter basket lifts out from above for rinsing, and the whole machine is backed by Dolphin's forty-plus years of building robotic cleaners.
